Run Report: How to Lose Your Toes

For someone who hates running (or proclaims so), I seem to be doing a lot more running and talking about running a lot more than even people who claim they like running.

I’m keen to run my first marathon at the end of the year and these, I consider ‘training runs’. Why a marathon you ask? Actually I’m not too sure either but I tend to do things because I can and I *think* I can run a marathon. Not now but in a couple of months.

Anyway, I ran my first 20km run today and now I can’t walk properly.

Pretty aren’t they? I knew my shoes were too small from prior runs but their effect was at full strength this time. I walked the last 5km and limped my way home. Very sorry sight.

I did today’s run in 2:12. There’s another 20km run coming up in 2 weeks. I NEED new shoes.

If anyone would like to contribute to saving my toes, drop me a line. My toes say thanks.
