I got new spectacles sometime last week because my previous pair kept falling off my nose because my temples aren’t fat enough.

These are a pair of Less Than Human frames which are purportedly made in Japan. They make quite cool-looking hand-crafted acrylic frames which go for ridiculous prices here. I tell you, the way to make big bucks here is to open a spectacles shop and claim it’s a boutique because there’re too many short-sighted people in Singapore (there’s a pun here somewhere) and too many ugly frames around.

So anyway, I now look slightly smarter and better-educated and because these are fancy-pansy designer frames, I can live without getting a haircut or combing my hair and claim that that’s on purpose to suit my ‘artsy-chic’ look - the attitute my fancy-pansy designer frames should exude.

Ain’t life grand?
