Plan: Wake at 6. Cycle the 10km trip to Bedok Reservoir and back to the stadium for a 1-2km run.

Reality: Waking at 10, breakfast, then setting off at 12. Cycle 13km (according to my cyclometer) because I missed a turn and then run for 1.2km before I get stopped by in-duh-viduals.

I parked my unicycle at the concrete stands at the empty stadium and took off on my run. Guy goes over to my uni and stops me at the end of my first lap to tell me I need to park my ‘bicycle’ outside. I explain I can’t because it’s got no frame (much easier to explain this than how my tires are too fat to fit in the bike stands). He mumbles something, repeats his request and then says that his boss would not be happy. I ask if there’s a reason why I can’t place my uni there since it’s not obstructing anything or damaging anything. Mumbles. I tell him that his boss can speak to me and I’ll explain it to him if he does come by.

400m.

On my 2nd lap, I see that he’s gone to talk to his boss. Boss and guy points at unicycle, talks a bit, points more, and then points to me as I run by.

800m.

I get stopped on my third lap.

“Is that a bicycle?”
“No, it’s a unicycle. I can’t park it outside because there’s no frame.”

Mumbles something.

“I’m not riding it on the track or anything.”
“Yea, it’s ok. After you finish your run, bring it back.”
“Actually I’m done.”

1,200m.

This is the n-th time I’ve been at that stadium and they decide to find fault with my placing my unicycle there ONLY when the entire stadium is free of people.

Sure.

The trip wasn’t too bad though - I rode with 125s and peaked at 21.3km/h. I could possibly have kept running for at least 5km after.
